At about 07:30 am we shall come with an air conditioned minibus to pick you up and bring you to Ban Phe. Country & Discovery Tour Departure: Mondays Pick up from hotel at 07:00 am. Our first visit will be at Kao Samuk, Monkey Hill, where hundreds of monkeys live. Then to Angsila where you will see the stone carving. Animals and birds being carved by hand. We then stop nearby where we can see how red bricks are made. Red bricks are only made by red clay and water, grinding it afterwards, mold and dry under the sun for 2 days and later heat it in an wood fueled oven for 5 days. Then to a refreshing boat ride along the canal or Mae Nam Bang Pa according to the water level. One of the highlights is our visit to Luang Poh Sothon with it’s well known Buddha image where more than a thousand Buddhists gather in order to convey their respect and reveal their wishes. Ancient temple dancers are to be seen during most of the day. After lunch we will visit another temple Wat Luang where you can see uncountable numbers of chicken bats hanging in the trees. We will be back to Pattaya at 17:00 pm

Bangkok Day Tour: Departure: Wednesdays, 1 Day Tour: Leaving Pattaya at 07:00 am and proceed to Wat Taimtr, Golden Buddha and China Town. We will also visit Wat Po, The Temple Of The Reclining Buddha. Then taking a long tail boat on the Chao Praya river and the klongs where you will see the daily life of the Thai people who live there and has changed little for centuries. Stopping at the Ancient Wat Arun which has become a symbol of Bangkok. Cross the river to the Royal Palace with it’s different buildings constructed by the Kings. Visit Wat Phra Kaew home to the most sacred relic of Buddhism, the Emerald Buddha. After lunch we will go to the National Museum and return to Pattaya. Note: please dress properly, no sleeveless dress, short pants, T-shirt, sandals or indecent clothing.

Bridge Over The River KwaeDeparture: Thursday, 2 Day 1 night Tour: Pick up time from hotel starts at 04:45 am, leaving Pattaya at 05:00 am. After having breakfast we will go straight to Damnoern Saduak, the famous floating market for a short visit. Having seen the life of people living by the canals we proceed to Royal Thai Handicraft & Factory where skillful craftsmanship of carved teak wood products can be seen. Board our bus again and on to Kanchanaburi to visit the Jeath Museum and then to The War Cemetery where the deceased prisoners of war were placed in burial at the former site of the prisoner camp. In the afternoon we will take a train ride passing the well known part of the Death Railway. We will have a view of one of the water falls in Kanchanaburi. Then on to our accommodations and dinner will be served at 19:00 pm.  Breakfast at 08″00 am and on to explore some caves and then take a long tail boat ride to the famous Bridge Over The River Kwae. Lunch in one of the restaurants in the town. After lunch we are ready to go back to Pattaya. Arriving approximately 19:00 pm.

Chantaburi Sapphire Mine Tour Departure: Fridays Pick up from hotel at 07:30 am, depart from Pattaya at 08:00 am. Our tour will start in Wat Kao Sukhim and it’s collection of art and craftsmanship. Then proceed to a small street where the occupation of the residents are cutting gemstones. Rubies & green, blue and white sapphires are being cut and polished. Before lunch we will visit the first and oldest church in Chantaburi, The Immaculate Conception. After lunch we will continue our trip to the Pliew water falls where you can swim, feed the fish or walk around and feel the friendly atmosphere away from the bustling city and only the sound of the water fall and crickets will be your sound of music. On the way back to Pattaya we might stop in the fruit market where fruits in season are being sold. Arriving in Pattaya at 18:00 pm and to your hotel.

Ayuttaya & Bang-Pa-In Tour Departure: Sundays Departure time from Pattaya at 07:00 am. First visit will be at Bang Pa In, the former summer place of KIng Rama 5 who was leading the country at it’s most prosperous time. Proceeding to Wat Pha Nan Choern by boat and then to Wai Yai Chaimongkol, a temple of great victory which was built by King Naresuan to commemorate his victory over Prince of Burma n 1592 AD. The next temples that we will visit is Wat Mahathat and Wat Rachaburana which is the cremation site of two Princes who were both killed on elephant back duel fighting each other for the throne. Afterwards we will proceed to Wat Sisanpet the formor temple and palace burnt in 1767 AD. The last temple that we will visit is Wat Napramain the only temple that was not destroyed by the Burmese War. Lunch will be served in a restaurant nearby.

Floating Market & Crocodile Tour

Departure: Sundays
You will be picked up from your hotel at 07:00 am. We shall then go directly travel to The Floating Market in Damnem Saduak Village. We will take a long tail boat to pass the canals to reach The Floating Market and the floating trade center. Around this area you will really admire the colorful world market and the simple style of the villagers with their orchards and houses along both sides on the canals. One more interesting place for our tourist group to see is the Teakwood Handicraft Center where there are many skillful craftsmen from northwest Thailand. Our lunch will be at Samphran Crocodile Farm and Zoo. We will watch the magic show including elephants and crocodiles, the wrestling show and an Orchid farm before returning to Pattaya.

Pattaya has malls, superstores and supermarkets, making it simple for most tourists to find products they are familar with.  Even the layouts are like shopping back home.

Thai-style Street Markets

But be prepared to bargain, the opening gambit may be high. Most shop keepers use a calculators so you can make your counter offer in any language.

Pattaya Thailand is famous for its open-air markets and street stalls. Pattaya has less of this Thai style shopping than most of Thailand’s major destinations, but some Thai-style markets do exist:

Gems and Jewellery

Thailand is noted for its gems and hand-made jewellery. Care must be taken when shopping to avoid a scam.
Never buy gems from vendors on the street or allow a tout take you to a store offering special bargains.
Tailors

Pattaya is loaded with tailors. Most are capable of good, if not spectacular work. Avoid tailors who offer incredibly cheap deals, or work under 24 hours.  The best (but more expensive) tailors can be found in Walking Street, or on Beach Road.

Remember, you get what you pay for and the quality of goods here is far lower than you would expect at home. Money-back guarantee is a vague concept, so the goods are ‘Good’ before buying anything.

In Pattaya you’re rarely more than a hundred metres from a 7-11. There are more than one-hundred 7-11s in Pattaya City and more opening every day.

NOTE:
The further you get away from the beach, the more you enter the real Thai community and the shops will reflect this.

Shop-houses are a combination shop and home for the shop keep. The shop is on street level and the family lives in the rooms at the back and above the shop.

Bargaining - is no longer expected anywhere except in at Tourist Trap street Tout markets. Do not bargain down the price of a bottle of water.

Jomtien Beach

Jomtien Beach is located 2 km south of Pattaya. Jomtien Beach beach has a long straight coastline and some argue the better beach to that of Pattaya Beach. There is very little transition from South Pattaya to Jomtien. A hotel lined boardwalk connects the two areas. The inner Soi streets of Jomtien Beach offer less chaos than those of Pattaya.
Naklua Beach

Naklua Beach is on the northern tip of Pattaya Second Road, where it meets North Pattaya Road, marks the end of Pattaya Bay and the start of the area known as Naklua.
Wong Prachan Beach

Wong Prachan Beach is 1 km stretch of beach on the northern side of Pattaya Bay. Wong Prachan Beach is a quiet, and offers an exclusive serene beach that is best for swimming and relaxation. There are no shops or nightlife, and only fine high-rise hotels and condominiums in the area.

Ko Lan Island
