Pattaya: What to See

Pattaya offers much more than naughty nightlife and beaches. There are countless attractions worth visiting, both natural wonders and man-made marvels. Tourists can visit the many Thai and Chinese temples, or view the dolphins at the Sanctuary of Truth, the largest teakwood construction in the world. 

To escape the sun, visit Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. This quirky museum houses the odd, the unusual and the unbelievable. You may not believe your eyes!. The Haunted Adventure is a must. All main attractions are lined along the beaches and main roads, where one can walk from one to another or hire a 'songtaew' or 'open taxi'. Metered taxis are also available.

Pattaya Water Park

An enormous wooden castle-like building constructed according to ancient Thai ingenuity a nd entirely covered with intricate wooden carvings. Learn how wooden hand-craving decoration reflects the 'Ancient Vision of Earth', 'Ancient Knowledge', and 'Eastern Philosophy'. Travellers also come to grips with the concepts of ' Ancient  Life', 'Responsibility', 'Cycle of Living', 'Human  Basic Thought', 'Life Relationship with Universe' and 'Common Goal of Life towards Utopia'.

From the entrance, visitors are transported by a horse cart to a nearby lake, where well-trained and delightful dolphins put up a show twice daily. There's also a restaurant and demonstrations of wood carving.

Tiffany Cabaret Show

The very first transsexual cabaret show in Southeast Asia, Tiffany's is also Thailand's longest-running and Pattaya's most famous cabaret show . Meet the clones of  Whitney Houston, Donna Summer or Barbara Streisand. Let these professional performers entertain you with an impressive repertoire  that vary from dance-and-song numbers in fabulous costumes to comedic impersonations.

With more than 30 years' experience in show business, these 'ladies' put up a glitzy show that is excellent entertainment for the whole family. ( Show times are at 18:30, 20:00 and 21:30 ).

Mini Siam

At t his miniature city scale-model replicas of hundreds of famous sights all over the world are on display, making for a great family outing. Visitors can get their picture taken with the models, made on a scale of 1 to 25.

These include The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Bridge over the River Kwai, the Golden Stupa and Pimai Khmer Sanctuary Buddha, the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, London's Tower B ridge, the Trevi Fountain, the Sydney Opera House. The Democracy Monument in Bangkok was the very first model built at Mini Siam. (Open daily from 07:00 – 22:00).

Ripley's Believe it or not Museum

This quirky museum houses the odd, the unusual and the unbelievable. The Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum features over 250 objects in a very unusual permanent exhibition, like a mask made from human skin and an African voodoo doll. At 'Haunted Adventure' your worst nightmare comes to life, while the 4D Movie Theatre has a giant screen projection, dynamic motion seating and full digital surround sound system guaranteed to thrill both mind and body.

Enjoy a hi-tech version of paintball at Ripley's Laser Trek, consisting of a fully computerized laser gun, vests and an environment where the targets shoot back! (Location: Royal Garden Plaza. Open daily from 10:00 – 24:00).

Pattaya View Point

This awe-inspiring, panoramic view of Pattaya City and Bay area certainly sheds new light on an area long renowned for nightlife. It's great place to head out to with family and friends, who are looking to escape the heat of the day and enjoy Pattaya from an elevated perspective.

The sacred Buddha image at Wat Khao Phra Bat temple also resides on the hilltop; here it is common for worshippers to pay their respects, making for interesting viewin

Elephant Village

A popular spot for Thai and foreign visitors alike, Elephant Village offers daily performances at 14:30 and elephant rides.

The Million Years Stone Park & Crocodile Farm

One of Pattaya's favorite day-time attractions, the park covers a large area with rock gardens on beautifully landscaped grounds. Interesting sights include fossilised plants of more than a million years old, 200-year old Thai-style bonsai trees, crocodile pools and a collection of rare animals such as albino bears. Crocodile round-ups, magic shows and animal performances are also major attractions.
